Under the supervision of the Apothecary Manager and supervisor, the Apothecary Associate is responsible for front end sales, inventory of items for the shop, ensuring the area is stocked and sanitized in a state that meets Shepherd Center’s requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Running the front cash register.

  • Providing excellent customer service to all customers in the Apothecary.

  • Stocking, organizing, and cleaning the area.

  • Ensuring guests can find what they need.

  • Answering the phone and directing the customer to the appropriate person/department.

  • Taking inventory of items in the Apothecary and ordering items needed per the approval of the Apothecary Manager.

  • Performs other duties as required/requested/assigned. 

Required Minimum Education

  • High school graduation or equivalent required.

Required Minimum Certification

  • No certification required.

Required Minimum Experience

  • Previous customer experience preferred.

Required Minimum Skills

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Exceptional Customer service skills

  • Cash register experience.

  •  Highly organized, strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to problem solve.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Must have excellent organizational skills.

  • Good Verbal and written communication skills, and attention to details necessary.

  • Highly motivated.

  • Takes initiative.

  • May involve walking, standing, or kneeling for brief or extended periods of time.
