POSITION SUMMARY:


We are seeking a Demand Planner with a minimum of two years of forecasting experience to play a critical role in the demand planning function within a robust S&OP environment. This role supports thousands of products across multiple sales channels and locations and requires strong experience in statistical modeling. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with Sales and Supply Chain teams to integrate diverse data sources into a cohesive demand model and clearly communicate the demand plan to S&OP stakeholders. Success in this role requires exceptional analytical capabilities along with strong written and verbal communication skills.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze historical sales trends and model the data to forecast future demand.
  • Monitor actual demand vs. forecast to identify shortages/overages and identify actions to prevent service failures and excess inventory.
  • Prepare for and participate in monthly S&OP process.
  • Work with key leaders in the Sales organization to develop short- and long-term demand forecasts.
  • Execute strategies to improve forecast accuracy to improve service levels and planning efficiency.
  • Prepare metrics to monitor demand planning performance and drive process improvement actions.
  • Optimize the demand planning tool SAP IBP.
  • Participate in monthly capacity evaluations and collaborate with supply planning team to understand changes in future demand planning.
  • Contribute to increasing department wide efficiency through root cause analysis and derivation of short-term solutions.
  • Proactively communicate with relevant departments (e.g. Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, Materials Planning, Product Management and Engineering) regarding existing and future forecasted schedule requirements and any changes impacting these departments.
  • Participate in other business processes as needed.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field


Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in demand planning/sales forecasting.
  • Must have experience with statistical modeling.
  • Must have experience with different business unit collaborations and S&OP process.


Competencies: 

  • Advanced mathematical and statistical expertise with the ability to apply concepts to real‑world demand scenarios.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced proficiency with demand planning and enterprise systems, including SAP IBP, ERP platforms, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, tools, and processes to support company and departmental objectives.
  • Proven ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated, proactive professional capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.


WORKING CONDITIONS: 


This position will be located in Atlanta, GA. Ability to offer prompt, effective support to warehouse, plant and corporate office environments. The position may require travel up to 10%.
