Job DetailsJob Location: Zoo Atlanta Cherokee Lot/Grant Park - Atlanta, GA 30312Position Summary The AAA Parking - Parking Ambassador ensures a positive parking experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by providing excellent customer service, enforcing parking regulations, and assisting with parking operations. This highly visible role requires professionalism, sound judgment, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist customers with directions, payment systems (e.g., Park Mobile), and general parking information. Patrol lots and garages to monitor compliance, issue citations, and facilitate towing when necessary. Direct traffic and customers to available parking during peak times; update signage when lots are full. Report facility issues such as damaged signs, potholes, or equipment malfunctions. Issue citations or warnings for violations in accordance with local ordinances and internal policies. Prepare daily reports and maintain violation/enforcement logs. Engage customers and tenants in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner. Notify security of suspicious behavior or safety concerns. Maintain a neat and professional appearance and act as a representative of the organization. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge of parking rules, regulations, and enforcement procedures. Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and in writing. Comfortable using radios, ticketing equipment, and enforcement tools. Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and patrol on foot throughout shifts. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record may be required. Ability to pass a pre-employment background check Prior experience in customer service, public safety, or parking operations preferred. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Comfortable using mobile technology and handheld devices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure or confrontational situations. Ability to handle difficult customer interactions with patience and professionalism. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Outgoing, approachable, and proactive attitude—ambassadors are expected to actively engage customers, not just observe. As the first point of contact, you set the tone for every visitor’s experience. A warm welcome and professional assistance make all the difference.
