Associate Producer, CNN Digital Production

CNN’s Digital Video Production team creates original video content for all CNN platforms, including social video accounts. Responsibilities include writing, producing, and editing video from raw news moments to daily news packages. The Associate Producer will work collaboratively across the organization to cover breaking news, trending topics, and important issues quickly and accurately. The role involves researching, writing scripts, editing video for digital platforms, monitoring breaking news and social trends, brainstorming story ideas, experimenting with new video formats, gathering elements like photos and footage, assisting reporters and producers with research, and completing production workflows within CNN’s content management systems. The position requires working weekend evening shifts, covering domestic and international news, and working in a fast, high-pressure environment with schedule flexibility including AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in journalism, 2+ years in digital news media, ability to edit news packages independently in Adobe Premiere, strong interest in news, familiarity with digital video and social media platforms, strong writing and communication skills, and being a team player.
