Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Contractor Program Manager to lead the recruitment, onboarding, development, and performance management of our network of independent window and door installation contractors. This role is responsible for ensuring our certified contractors consistently deliver exceptional installation quality, customer satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential construction, window and door installation, contractor management, and operational leadership. This position plays a critical role in supporting company growth by building and maintaining a high-performing contractor network.

Key Responsibilities

Contractor Recruitment & Development

  • Recruit, evaluate, and onboard qualified independent window and door installation contractors.
  • Verify contractor licensing, insurance, certifications, and experience requirements.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of installation crews to support company growth and production needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors throughout the network.

Certification & Training

  • Administer contractor certification and onboarding programs.
  • Train contractors on company installation standards, safety requirements, and best practices.
  • Coordinate ongoing education regarding new products, installation methods, and building code updates.
  • Ensure all certified contractors maintain compliance with company requirements.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct jobsite inspections and installation audits.
  • Monitor installation quality, customer feedback, and warranty claims.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans.
  • Work closely with installation teams to improve workmanship and customer experience.

Performance Management

  • Track and report contractor performance metrics
  • Provide coaching and support to help contractors improve performance.
  • Maintain certification standards and address underperforming contractors as needed.

Operations & Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations, Production, Sales, Scheduling, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Forecast contractor capacity and staffing needs.
  • Assist in resolving installation challenges, customer concerns, and project escalations.
  • Support company initiatives focused on operational excellence and growth.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all contractors comply with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate contractor records, insurance documentation, and compliance files.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accountability throughout the contractor network.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in residential construction, window and door installation, or contractor management.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, installation crews, or field operations.
  • Strong understanding of window and door installation practices, building codes, and construction safety standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contractor management software.

Preferred

  • Experience within the window, door, remodeling, or exterior home improvement industry.
  • Knowledge of contractor certification programs and quality assurance processes.
  • OSHA certification or safety management experience.
  • Experience conducting field audits and jobsite inspections.
