Job Summary:

Liberty Tire Recycling has an opening for a Class A Utility Driver. This position requires a qualified driver to oversee daily collection of waste tires. Routes are assigned by dispatch; however, it is the responsibility of the driver to successfully manage the transportation of waste tires to the home facility. Included in this position will be the responsibility to complete all DOT required paperwork and company paperwork at each collection site. Drivers may at times be responsible for transporting monies received at collection sites from customers who are on a cash only basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand and know safe lifting techniques to lift and load tires of all sizes (personal vehicle, truck and tractor tires).

• Knowledge and understanding of navigating with local maps.

• Manage and supervise additional employees (driver helpers) that are assigned to the route.

• Maintain a positive customer service attitude in demanding situations.

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to dispatch through the successful completion of DVIR's.

• Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety standards.

• Other duties will be assigned as necessary by the company.

• Driver must comply with all of FMCSA regulations at all times during their employment.

Skills and Abilities:

• Requires a Class A CDL.

• Experience driving single and tandem axel tractors.

• Experience with 28', 48' and 53' trailers

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and the public.

• Work independently with general instructions.
