Description

Clinical Medical Assistant — Float - East Region

AICA Orthopedics — East Atlanta — Float Coverage

Full-Time • Hourly + Bonus  • Medical, Dental & Vision • Career Growth

About AICA: 25+ years serving Georgia with 21 locations. Growing team of 400+ professionals specializing in injury recovery and orthopedic care.

The Role

AICA Orthopedics is hiring a Float Medical Assistant across a zone of 2–3 metro Atlanta clinics. Personal injury and orthopedic patients — high volume, acute needs, not routine check-ups

  • Work alongside orthopedic physicians, PAs, and nurse practitioners
  • X-ray certification moves you toward the top of the pay range — training provided if you don't have it
  • Adapt across 2–3 assigned locations based on daily clinic need — same clinical standard at every site

Who Thrives Here

A certified MA — or trained MA working toward certification — who adapts quickly and performs to standard regardless of setting. If covering 2+ locations in a zone sounds manageable rather than disruptive, this is the right fit. If location consistency matters more, our site-based MA role is the better choice.

What You'll Do

Patient Care

  • Room patients, obtain histories, record vital signs — on time so providers are not waiting
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures
  • Administer injections and prepare medications per provider orders
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and post-visit instructions

Clinical Procedures

  • Perform X-rays — training provided; certification earns top-of-range pay
  • Fit patients for DME and provide usage instruction
  • Manage medication inventory and comply with pharmacy procedures

Documentation

  • Accurate, HIPAA-compliant records in NextGen EHR — complete before end of shift
  • Clinical areas stocked and organized without being prompted

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist
  • CMA, RMA, or equivalent — or actively working toward it
  • EHR proficiency; NextGen preferred
  • Reliable transportation — gas reimbursed for zone travel
  • Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, bend and stoop regularly

Preferred — earns more

  • X-ray or ARRT certification — top-of-range pay consideration
  • 2+ years MA experience in a clinical setting
  • Orthopedic, multi-specialty, or personal injury experience
  • Bilingual English and Spanish

Compensation & Benefits

  • $18–$25/hr — experience and certifications determine where you land
  • Performance bonus tied to KPI metrics
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Gas reimbursement for zone travel
  • X-ray radiation safety training provided
