Construction Materials Special Inspector —West Georgia

Starting wage $28/hr depending on experience

TTL is seeking an ICC-certified special inspector to work on projects in the west Georgia area. Primary duties include performing special inspections including reinforced concrete, masonry, floor flatness, etc. The position is a full-time, permanent position that is expected to work on two projects in the West Georgia area for approximately 2 years, after which TTL may reassign to a different location. A successful candidate needs to have demonstrated ability to successfully complete tasks without local supervision. Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining authorization for work on restricted access sites.

What You’ll Do

• Perform on-site observations and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications
• Prepare written daily reports to document findings
• Follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc

Requirements 

• ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector certification
• Minimum 2 years of reinforced concrete inspection experience 
• ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector certification OR ability to acquire within 8 weeks of start date
• Certified F-number Technician (Floor Flatness/Floor Levelness) certification OR ability to acquire within 6 months of start date
• Ability to communicate professionally orally and in writing
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Possess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of structural masonry inspection experience
• Minimum 1 year of F-number (Floor Flatness/Floor Levelness) experience
