Role Summary

The Director of Demand and Customer Experience, Fuels & Energy serves as the strategic technology partner to RaceTrac's Fuels & Energy organization. This leader aligns technology investments with business priorities, driving digital transformation, operational efficiency, customer experience improvements, and long-term growth. The role oversees product strategy, technology roadmaps, demand management, and the optimization of key platforms including RightAngle and Salesforce while identifying opportunities to leverage AI and automation across the business. This Director will partner with the Supply and Freight Director to create a cohesive architecture that helps business balance supply, demand, and delivery signals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Fuels & Energy leadership to align technology strategy with business goals and operational priorities.

  • Develop and execute the technology roadmap supporting trading, supply, logistics, pricing, and customer engagement functions.

  • Lead demand management, prioritization, and delivery of technology initiatives that drive business value.

  • Oversee enhancement and optimization of RightAngle and Salesforce platforms.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, predictive analytics, and automation to improve efficiency, decision-making, and customer experience.

  • Lead product ownership, business analysis, and system administration teams while fostering a high-performing culture.

  • Partner across IT, Data, Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and vendor teams to deliver scalable solutions.

  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure technology effectiveness, operational improvements, and business outcomes.

Success Measures (First 6-12 Months)

  • Build strong partnerships with Fuels & Energy and IT leadership.

  • Develop and gain alignment on a strategic technology roadmap.

  • Improve demand management, prioritization, and governance processes.

  • Deliver meaningful enhancements across RightAngle and Salesforce.

  • Identify and implement AI or automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency.

  • Establish measurable KPIs demonstrating business value and customer experience improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 10+ years supporting Fuels & Energy technology solutions, enterprise applications, or business systems.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing product, business analysis, or enterprise application teams.

  • Significant hands-on experience with RightAngle.

  • Salesforce experience supporting customer engagement and operational workflows.

  • Strong Fuels & Energy industry expertise, including trading, supply, logistics, pricing, settlements, and risk management.

  • Experience developing technology roadmaps and leading cross-functional initiatives.

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across business and technology teams.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and executive presence.

Preferred Skills

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technology partner and trusted advisor to Fuel Technology business leadership, aligning technology capabilities with strategic business priorities and operational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the Fuel Technology roadmap, ensuring initiatives deliver measurable business value, operational efficiency, and improved customer experience outcomes.
  • Lead strategic planning, prioritization, and execution of technology initiatives supporting Fuel Technology operations, trading, logistics, supply, pricing, and customer engagement functions.
  • Partner cross-functional with IT, enterprise architecture, infrastructure, cybersecurity, development, and support teams to deliver scalable and reliable business solutions.
  •  Oversee demand management processes, including intake, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, resource planning, and roadmap governance for Fuel Technology initiatives.
  • Manage and develop teams responsible for product ownership, business analysis, and system administration while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing environment.
  •  Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on process optimization, automation, operational efficiency, and enhanced user experience.
  •  Lead enhancement, support, and optimization efforts for RightAngle and Salesforce platforms, ensuring systems effectively support business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, system modernization, analytics, reporting, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure successful delivery of projects and enhancements through strong governance, communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement practices.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, operational metrics, and reporting dashboards to measure platform performance, business value realization, and customer experience improvements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, consultants, and external partners to maximize solution effectiveness, innovation, and service delivery.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies within the Fuel Technology industry to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Support organizational change management and user adoption initiatives associated with technology implementations and process transformations.
