Job Description:
The Director of Finance & Operations leads nonprofit financial strategy, federal grant compliance, forecasting, and operational infrastructure to support mission-driven growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive financial strategy, multi-year planning, and organizational forecasting.

  • Lead federal grants compliance, reporting, and stewardship.

  • Build and strengthen financial systems, controls, and scalable processes.

  • Oversee operations, HR administration, vendor management, and IT infrastructure.

  • Partner with CEO and Board to guide financial and strategic priorities.

  • Enhance financial transparency and reporting for leadership.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of nonprofit finance experience or experience with federal grant-funded organizations.

  • Hands-on federal grants administration and compliance experience.

  • Background in nonprofit, healthcare, research, or academic environments preferred.

  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Strategic mindset with strong execution capability.

  • CPA or equivalent credential preferred.

  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and nonprofit financial systems preferred.
