The position manages complex environmental projects, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports federal environmental programs across multiple facilities.   Essential Functions Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation and technical reports. Design and oversee environmental protection projects, including remediation systems, water reclamation facilities, and air pollution control systems. Develop technical scopes of work, independent government cost estimates, and evaluate contractor proposals. Manage environmental projects ($1M–$3M), including schedules, budgets, quality control, and contractor performance. Review contractor work products for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and completeness. Conduct hazardous waste management studies and ensure regulatory compliance. Inspect industrial and municipal facilities for compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations. Support environmental liability documentation and reporting. Analyze scientific data and perform quality assurance/quality control evaluations. Advise federal agencies on remediation strategies and contaminated site cleanup. Implement and utilize environmental engineering software systems, including database management and GIS platforms. Support compliance with environmental regulations including CERCLA, RCRA, CAA, CWA, SPCC, and NPDES requirements. Develop engineering protocols to reduce energy use, water consumption, waste generation, and environmental impact. Monitor and report on environmental improvement and sustainability initiatives. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline. Senior-level engineering experience managing environmental compliance and remediation projects.
