We are currently seeking an Estimator to become an integral part of our innovative preconstruction team. This role is responsible for serving as the architect of accurate and competitive project cost estimates that lay the foundation for our success.


Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings and specifications.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing.
  • Engage with clients to clarify scope changes and address questions during the bidding process.
  • Provide vital cost information and estimates for project adjustments throughout different phases. Acts as a resource to project management during the award / start-up phase to clarify any issues regarding what was considered in the estimate including materials and methods of construction.
  • Reviews budget and project profitability status and goals with supervision and project team as required.
  • Seeks input on corrective measures to continuously improve the identification and accuracy of cost figures.
  • Occasionally traveling for Prebid and bid drop-offs
  • Conducting searches for perspective bid opportunities


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering or related field required, coupled with 1-3+ years of commercial preconstruction estimating experience.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a solution-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and experienced with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Heavy Bid, Sage, OST, Procore, Blue Beam).
  • Demonstrated skills in reading and interpreting bid documents and drawings, with a keen attention to detail.
