Job DetailsJob Location: Atlanta, GA 30336Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 SalarySUMMARY: As part of the Flood Brothers Team, the Fleet Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all company owned vehicles which includes Box Trucks, Semi Trucks, passenger vans, and trailers. SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position that requires flexible hours with occasional weekend, evening, and holiday work. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this critical position. COMPETENCY Strong analytical and mechanical skills Problem solving Time Management Effective interpersonal relationship skills Computer literacy ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain and repair fleet equipment and perform scheduled preventative maintenance Diagnose vehicle failures, disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary Complete all necessary documents and input all required information into the fleet maintenance software (Samsara for vehicle record keeping) Must respond to service repairs in the field Coordinate any tows required back to the Flood Brothers shop Arrange any mobile tire replacements as required Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor to complex repairs for all types of equipment Must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and Flood Brothers safety and maintenance policies Communicate with the Operations Department regarding vehicle issues, repair statuses, and vehicles required for service. Make and receive calls from drivers regarding vehicle issues and down vehicles Maintain a clean and safe work environment PREFERRED SPECIALTIES: Experience with repair/replacement of lift gates Using diagnostic computer software Proficient with wiring diagrams PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended length of time throughout their scheduled working period The employee is required to use their hands on a routine and daily basis to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, and/or otherwise operate required tools or controls The employee must be able to work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms The employee must be able to safely work in all weather conditions Given the frequent movement of large trucks through the workplace, the employee must be able to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years fleet maintenance experience Valid Driver’s License with no major moving violations in the past 5 years CDL not required but preferred Must be able to pass DOT Physical and drug test Own or possess the tools required to accomplish the essential job results required TRAVEL REQUIRED None.
