This position is generally responsible for the accurate picking, counting, labeling, & racking of product in a cold freezer environment. This position requires regular and repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds and stacking product to a pallet of up to 6 feet.  


Specific Accountabilities: 


- Move goods from production areas to freezer/cooler by using forklift or power jacks.  

- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments & pick frozen goods to orders accurately.  

- Scan inventory into racks   

- Label all inventory  

- Keep work area clean & safe at all times  

- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.   

- Complies with all Company and Federal Policies, Procedures and Regulations  

- Achieve departmental KPIs Job Description may change with or without prior notice     


Qualifications:  


- Must be able to read, write and do basic math  

- Must be able to work under pressure and in a cold warehouse environment  

- Must be Forklift certified  

- High school diploma or GED (preferred)  

- Ability to work independently and as a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given and standard accepted practices  

- Must be in compliance with Schweid & Sons policies and GMP procedures  

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with GMP, USDA, OSHA   

- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance as well as work overtime as needed  

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs  

- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
