Experience
- 2 years of experience in academic healthcare or university-related field
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of work experience
- Experience in healthcare or academics
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a health-related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification Summary
- Valid Georgia driver’s license

- Demonstrated verbal/written communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work effectively under deadlines, with multiple tasks, and with individuals representing all levels within the organization
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage physician relationships
- Must have reliable transportation for commuting between campuses
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates onboarding for all residents and fellows coming into the system including Epic training, orientation to facilities, policies and procedures, security access/badges, credentialing, and other items as determined by each program.
- Coordinates process to ensure that affiliation and other required site agreements are in place with academic institutions and participating community physicians for residency, fellowship, medical student, and physician assistant student rotations.
- Participates in annual budget process and coordinates with other departments who fund residents to reconcile all accounts related to residents.
- Assists Graduate Medical Education Programs Manager with ongoing oversight of operating budget.
- Reviews and codes all invoices for payment and ensures that invoices are consistent with approved program budget.
- Participates in system committees such as Graduate Medical Education and Teaching Advisory, helps coordinate agendas, schedules meetings, prepares meeting minutes and other meeting materials as needed.
- May serve on special projects, committees, or act as manager or department representative as necessary.
- May perform other department-specific duties, such as filing documents, filling in for other staff members, and other assignments as appropriate.
- Â Provides day-to-day assistance to residents, fellows, and medical students, including orientation, program evaluation, call schedule, housing, meal tickets, parking, and key distribution.
