Overview
The Human Resources Support Volunteer helps support the daily administrative functions of the HR team at Operation Mobilization USA. This is an unpaid volunteer role designed to provide meaningful support to the ministry while assisting with HR projects, coordination, and organization.
This role works under the direction of the Director of Human Resources and assists with administrative and project-based HR support functions.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with applicant communication, interview scheduling, and coordination
  • Support onboarding documentation and HR records organization
  • Help maintain HR files, databases, and digital records
  • Assist with HR reporting and data projects as assigned
  • Provide administrative support for HR events, trainings, and culture initiatives
  • Help route HR questions to appropriate staff members
  • Support special HR projects as directed
Volunteer Experience & Learning Opportunities
Volunteers in this role may:
  • Gain exposure to nonprofit HR processes
  • Develop skills in coordination, HR systems, communication, and organization
  • Experience working within a collaborative HR team environment
Qualifications
  • Experience or strong interest in Human Resources or administrative support
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently with guidance
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel) helpful
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems a plus but not required
  • Agreement with OM USA’s Statement of Faith
Time Commitment
  • Part-time volunteer role
  • Schedule determined with HR Director
