Job Description

Investment Management Intern

As an Investment Management Intern, you will report to either the Asset Management or Acquisitions team. Your role will primarily consist of compiling and analyzing financial data involving the management of Landmark鈥檚 existing portfolio. In your role, you will be expected to make substantial contributions to analysis that will inform the firm鈥檚 investment decisions.

This is a full-time, on-site internship. The internship program will run from June 1, 2027 through August 6, 2027.

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the Investment Management Intern鈥檚 responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.

路 Work with the Asset Management department in the evaluation, execution, and disposition of student housing and multifamily properties.

路 Monitor and compile relevant economic data across different markets to assess the overall health of the student housing market.

路 Support both debt and equity transactions, including but not limited to refinancings, recapitalizations, and new placements.

路 Use Excel to highlight asset and portfolio-level performance metrics such as IRR, income growth, and Return on Investment.

路 Provide analytical support in preparation of reporting materials, including but not limited to rent rolls, budget forecasts, and rate plans.

路 Build and update financial models relating to the underwriting of institutional-quality student housing and multifamily assets.

路 Gather rent and sales comparables as part of the underwriting process.

路 Ad-hoc projects as needed with the goal of streamlining processes and increasing efficiency.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

路 Enrolled in a Bachelor鈥檚 or Master鈥檚 degree program in a relevant major (Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, etc.) with an excellent academic record and demonstrated interest in real estate.

路 Succinct and effective written and oral communication skills.

路 A motivated self-starter, problem solver, and team player.

路 Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and leadership skills.

路 Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

路 Understanding of financial concepts (i.e., IRR, ROI) and the ability to apply concepts.

路 Ability to accomplish assigned tasks with limited guidance and supervision.
