Practice: Data Privacy & Cybersecurity / Regulatory Compliance & Enforcement

Position: Associate (Mid-Level) Greenberg Traurig (GT) has an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Associate in our Atlanta office. The Associate will work on sophisticated government investigations, enforcement actions, litigation, and regulatory counseling matters involving privacy, advertising and marketing practices, and consumer financial services.

Job Requirements

  • 3–6 years of relevant litigation, investigations, or regulatory experience.
  • Experience defending or assisting with government investigations and enforcement actions, including matters involving the FTC, CFPB, state attorneys general, or other regulators.
  • Experience with privacy, advertising and marketing, consumer protection, or consumer financial services matters.
  • Experience counseling clients on state, federal, and international privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other emerging privacy regulations.
  • Experience responding to CIDs, subpoenas, and other regulatory inquiries and conducting related internal investigations.
  • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
  • Georgia Bar admission or eligibility to promptly obtain admission. Government, judicial clerkship, or relevant in-house experience is a plus.

 

Practice Summary

GT's Data Privacy & Cybersecurity and Consumer Protection teams advise and defend companies facing complex regulatory challenges involving data privacy and cybersecurity, advertising and marketing practices, and consumer financial products and services. The teams represent clients in government investigations and enforcement actions, related litigation, and regulatory compliance matters before the FTC, CFPB, state attorneys general, and other regulators.
