The Senior IT Auditor at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta plays a critical role in evaluating and strengthening the Bank's technology control environment. This position independently leads and conducts comprehensive IT audits to identify risks, test controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. As a subject matter expert, you'll serve as Auditor in Charge (AIC) on engagements of moderate to high complexity, applying your technical expertise to assess cybersecurity measures, IT governance structures, and critical infrastructure. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with IT departments and leadership throughout the Atlanta District branches to develop risk-based audit plans, communicate findings effectively, and provide valuable recommendations to improve the Bank's technology risk posture. This role requires analytical thinking, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts for various stakeholders. Through your contributions to System-wide governance groups and audit workgroups, you'll help shape IT audit methodology and best practices across the Federal Reserve System. This position may require travel up to 10% of time.Â
What You'll DoÂ
Participate and lead IT and project audits, ensuring proper planning, execution, and completion within established timelinesÂ
Assess business areas to identify IT risks, determine audit frequency and scopeÂ
Draft audit workpapers and stakeholder communications following IIA StandardsÂ
Serve as primary liaison to Bank IT departments and branch officesÂ
Coordinate follow-up on reported findings and document resultsÂ
Develop annual business area risk assessments and process mappingÂ
Participate in System Audit Community governance groups and workgroupsÂ
Apply expert knowledge of IT operations, risk assessment practices, and internal control systemsÂ
Maintain effective relationships with management and staff in assigned functional areasÂ
Assist with operational audit engagements as neededÂ

QualificationsÂ
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferredÂ
3+ years of IT Audit/Advisory experience or 5+ years of non-Audit related experienceÂ
Expert knowledge of IT General Controls Â
Professional certification preferred: CIA, CPA, CISSP, CISA, CAMS, CFE, PMP, SAFRÂ
Technical SkillsÂ
Knowledge of IT systems: Windows, Firewall, Routers, Oracle, SQL, Remote Access SystemsÂ
Understanding of Systems Development, Application Security, Identity and Access ManagementÂ
Familiarity with Database Management Systems and Privileged AccessÂ
Experience with Center for Internet Security Critical Security Controls and Automated Audit ToolsÂ
Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and IT Frameworks (COBIT, COSO, NIST-800-53, ISO standards)Â
