Job DetailsJob Location: THQ-Business Services - Atlanta, GA 30329Position Type: Full Time RegularJob Category: Business OperationsThis position is responsible for: Reporting to the In-House Advisor for Estate, Trust and Probate, this role provides administrative and paralegal support throughout the lifecycle of assigned estate and trust files, from intake and document review through ongoing monitoring, annual file reviews, correspondence, and closure activities. The Junior Probate Paralegal will organize and maintain confidential legacy files and department databases; assist with reviewing legal documents to identify The Salvation Army’s potential interest; prepare routine correspondence, legal requisitions, Board of Trustee materials, workflow steps, and other required documentation; and conduct basic legal research under supervision.  Key Responsibilities: legal research under supervision. The position also supports legacy-related litigation activities, including deadline tracking, court calendars, document collection, discovery support, subpoena responses, trial materials, invoice tracking, and coordination with outside counsel and internal divisions.   This role serves as a point of contact for general inquiries from divisions and departments regarding estate, trust, and legacy matters, while appropriately escalating complex or legal questions to the In-House Advisor or other department leadership. The Junior Probate Paralegal will also assist with TAG and other special projects, including Legal Tracker uploads, project tracking, document routing, and assigned cleanup or file-management initiatives.   The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with confidential information, and able to manage multiple files, deadlines, and priorities with accuracy and professionalism. Strong written communication, legal research, records-management, technology, and customer-service skills are essential. The candidate for this position should embrace working in a team setting and be receptive to any guidance and/or instructions provided by management.     Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:    Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to interpret, analyze, and compute numbers. Ability to perform routine and complex mathematical computations. Ability to keypunch information into a computer. Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically. Must be able to travel.
