American Health Imaging is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist. You will be responsible for helping all Technologists in the center in areas that allow the Technologist to maintain an on-time schedule and run the diagnostic imaging scanning area in an orderly fashion.  When not functioning as a Technologist Assistant you will support a credentialed Virtual Steering MRI Technologist with virtual MRI scanning by serving as the hands-on support at the imaging site. This position is responsible for preparing patients, ensuring compliance with MRI safety protocols (Zones 3 & 4), managing equipment setup, and monitoring scans conducted by the Virtual Steering MRI technologists.  

 

This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:00 pm located in Sandy Springs, GA

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining excellent patient care
  • Dressing patients and obtaining medical history
  • Starting IVs
  • Assisting MRI/CT with the patient flow
  • Helping sterilizes equipment and rooms

 

Education and Experience: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Radiology Technology student or 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality nice to have
  • Previous experience starting IV's desired
  • Knowledge of medical terminology desired
