Position SummaryĀ 

As a consultant in our P&C Actuarial Practice, you will engage in transformative client projects,Ā leveragingĀ your technicalĀ expertiseĀ and strategic insights to develop,Ā validate, andĀ operationalizeĀ actuarial models and methodologies. This role offers a chance to work collaboratively withĀ cutting-edgeĀ technologies, including AI, to deliver impactful solutionsĀ around more traditional actuarialĀ projects involving pricing, reserving, and capital modeling.Ā

ResponsibilitiesĀ 

  • Data Analytics: Conduct extensive data analyses, managing large datasets to inform strategic decision-making.Ā 

  • Technical Guidance: Provide insights into actuarial methodologies, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to governance frameworks.Ā 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage effectively with clients and senior stakeholders, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations.Ā 

  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:Ā Opportunities to work with engineering teams to translate actuarial specifications into technical requirements andĀ validateĀ outcomes.Ā 

  • Quality Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards andĀ internal bestĀ practices, rigorously validatingĀ data,Ā modelĀ outputsĀ and assumptions.Ā 

  • Innovation Contribution: Enhance tools, processes, and methodologies to drive operational excellence within the practice.Ā 

QualificationsĀ 

RequiredĀ Ā 

  • Education: BA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or a related field.Ā 

  • Experience: 3+ years of actuarial experience.Ā Commitment to pursuing CAS actuarial credentialsĀ with a minimum of 3Ā passedĀ actuarial exams.Ā Ā 

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written skills to convey complex information effectively to diverse audiences.Ā 

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving capabilities; intellectual curiosity to meet tight deadlines.Ā 

  • Microsoft Suite: Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.Ā 

  • StrongĀ OrganizationalĀ Skills:Ā ability to prioritize,Ā manage multiple tasksĀ and meet project objectives and deadlines.Ā Ā 

PreferredĀ 

  • AI Proficiency: ExperienceĀ utilizingĀ AI technologies for modeling and analytics.Ā 

  • Programming: Knowledge of programming languages (Python, R, SQLĀ isĀ a plus)Ā

The applicable base salary range for this role isĀ $70,000 – $130,000   
   
The base pay offered will be determined onĀ factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.   
   
In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
