Responsibilities

The senior analyst is responsible for conducting project management activities for identified organization-wide strategic operations improvement activities. The senior analyst will serve as an internal consultant to management, staff and physicians in the areas of financial services and process improvement. The senior analyst will work with coordinator to help define project goals, develop detailed work plans, establish timelines, identify performance measures, run reports and assist with implementation of process change in order to maintain project completion. This position requires an individual who is a self-starter, demonstrates exceptional project management skills; has the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, works with only general supervision on assigned projects and activities, demonstrates tact and diplomacy in situations of conflict and controversy and demonstrates excellent communication and presentation skills.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assists with management of the entire project lifecycle (for defined projects) from project definition/scope through implementation.
  • Develops project work plan and drives project milestones. Employs project management methodologies and tools, like MS Project. Excel and PowerPoint. Helps define measureable improvement goals for each project.
  • Prepares status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project.
  • Assists with the communication strategy and delivery of communications through identified channels.
  • Manages the project documentation.
  • Helps deliver projects on time, at/under budget and within scope.
  • Maintains a level of specialized knowledge of the best practices for project management and familiarity with various technologies, when required.
  • Understands competing priorities and effectively manage simultaneously occurring tasks.  Be adaptable and flexible to the dynamic needs of projects.
  • Provides the ability to communicate complex technical information in an easy-to-understand way.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.  Immediately reports and mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury-accident to the director.
  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or other related field.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of healthcare experience in project management, operations improvement, or health care consulting.
  • Working knowledge of microcomputer applications, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. 6. Superior oral, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PREFERRED:

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or other related field.
  • Work Hours:

    9AM-5PM
