What you'll do:

Position Summary

This Data Analyst serves as a key analytical partner to Procurement and Finance, driving transparency and accountability across supplier costs and savings initiatives. By combining deep data analysis with strong business acumen, the position ensures that cost impacts are accurately measured, clearly communicated, and aligned with financial goals. The role plays a critical part in shaping category strategies, improving decision-making, and establishing procurement reporting as a trusted source of truth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cost variance and margin impact analyses related to supplier cost-saving initiatives
  • Monitor and manage supplier cost change requests, filebacks, rebates, and recovery opportunities
  • Calculate, validate, and report realized savings using established methodologies and formulas
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure savings are aligned, accurate, and audit-ready
  • Provide Procurement leadership with data-driven insights through advanced analysis
  • Support category strategy development with fact-based insights and market intelligence
  • Maintain accurate and consistent procurement datasets (costing, segmentation, supplier data, etc.)
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests related to cost, margin, supplier performance, and sourcing initiatives
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders

What you'll bring:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • 3–6+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, finance, or supply chain analytics
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, Power Query, complex formulas)
  • Experience handling large, multi-line-of-business spend and supplier datasets
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, including costing, pricing, savings, contracts, and supplier management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction materials, distribution, or multi-operating company environments
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar business intelligence tools for dashboard development
  • Familiarity with P2P systems, ERP platforms, or contract management tools
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, transformation-focused environment
