  • The role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant commercial nuclear work history and offers a competitive salary.
  • Key responsibilities include leading audits, developing technical evaluations, and conducting supplier quality assessments.

As a global leader in radiation safety, detection and measurement, Mirion Technologies is advancing radiation safety through innovative technologies and solutions.

We're looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead QA program compliance and oversight for our RMS product line. You'll ensure our products meet the rigorous standards our customers and communities depend on — spanning ISO 9001, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and NQA-1 — while working alongside engineers, auditors, and suppliers across the nuclear supply chain.

What You'll Do

  • Assess and strengthen implementation of QA program requirements (ISO 9001:2015, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, and NQA-1).
  • Organize and lead internal and external audits, including ISO 9001 maintenance audits and NUPIC triennial audits.
  • Develop and review technical evaluations and procurement requirements, including commercial-grade item dedication plans and reports.
  • Conduct supplier quality audits, commercial-grade surveys, and source inspections at domestic and European suppliers (approximately 10% travel).
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer and supplier inquiries on quality assurance topics.
  • Prepare inspection plans for internal operations and supplier oversight.
  • Support corrective/preventive action processes and non-conformance tracking.
  • Serve as the Site Export Control Coordinator for RMS, partnering with Compliance Director to ensure exports of products and technology adhere to applicable regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline preferred; other backgrounds considered with relevant experience).
  • Minimum 3 years of directly relevant commercial nuclear work history (power generation or DoD), with experience in a Nuclear Quality Assurance program.
  • Working knowledge of QA regulations and standards such as 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, ASME NQA-1, and IEEE 323/344.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform and document audits, inspections, and oversight activities.
  • Nuclear Lead Auditor certification (ASME NQA-1 / ANSI standards) — or ability to obtain one.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across a diverse group of engineering, quality, and supplier partners.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to federal contract and export-control requirements.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

Preferred

  • Experience in a shop fabrication environment (electrical and/or mechanical).
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access).
