Job Summary: The Real Estate Accounting and Reporting Analyst is responsible for the preparation and analysis of key real estate accounting reports that will be used by various levels of Company leadership to assess the operations of the Company.  This position will report directly to the Financial Reporting Director but will have regular exposure to the VP – Real Estate Accounting, Chief Accounting Officer, and other members of senior leadership. This person will also assist in additional projects as needed, gaining a valuable understanding of the accounting and operations of the Company, as well as the industry as a whole. This position is located in Buckhead. This position is on-site. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial reporting package which is reviewed with the Financial Reporting Director, VP – Real Estate Accounting, CAO and CFO. Analyze and prepare variance reporting at various operational metrics, which are reported to the COO. Work closely with the Financial Reporting Director and VP – Real Estate Accounting to develop reporting and further leverage the accounting system’s reporting capabilities. Assist the Lease Administration Controller and Property Accounting Controllers with various reporting needs. Assist the Financial Reporting Director with budgeting and quarterly forecast revenue analysis. QualificationsRequired or Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. 1 - 2 years of accounting or finance experience required. Real estate experience preferred. CPA license preferred or actively pursuing license required. REIT and office product-type experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required. Experience with Yardi is preferred. Responsiveness – Need to perform responsibilities with an acute sense of urgency to meet the needs of others. Integrity - Demonstrate sound business ethics, consistently complying with organizational values and protecting confidential information. Communication - Able to clearly express ideas, present verbal information, and ask questions.  Able to listen to and understand the perspective of others.
