Job Description

  • Lead, coach, and mentor the Sales Engineering team, providing strong technical and people leadership while driving pre-sales excellence and execution.
  • Manage, develop, and inspire a team of Security Engineers, including performance coaching, career development, and alignment with sales objectives.
  • Be hands-on in pre-sales activities while balancing leadership responsibilities across the SE organization.
  • Provide technical pre-sales assistance for customers and partners.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership to develop existing accounts and drive new business opportunities.
  • Deliver technical product and solution presentations.
  • Actively participate in IT security events and trade shows as a speaker.
  • Develop integrated technical solutions by translating customer business requirements into effective security architectures.
  • Technically close complex and competitive opportunities through advanced competitive knowledge, technical expertise, and credibility.
  • Identify revenue-impacting support escalations and proactively engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
  • Proactively collaborate with Product Management, Business Units, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of the security threat landscape and the IT security industry, including current and emerging trends.

Qualifications

  • Proven Sales Engineering leadership experience, including leading, coaching, and developing high-performing pre-sales or Sales Engineering teams.
  • 15+ years of experience with networking standards and protocols (Ethernet, routing, UNIX, Network Management, Internet Protocol addressing).
  • At least 8 years of pre-sales engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop technical teams.
  • Solid data communications experience.
  • Working knowledge of system design.
  • Cybersecurity experience across network, data center, and cloud architectures.
  • Check Point experience and certification preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future.

The wage range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors in determining your pay. We'll consider your location, experience, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The wage disclosure has not been adjusted for applicable geographic differentials associated with the location at which this position may be filled. A reasonable estimate of the current base wage range for this role is $176,400 - $210,000. In addition to the base compensation, certain roles are eligible for additional compensation, including an annual bonus or sales incentive based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. Benefits/perks listed here may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Check Point Software Technologies and the country/state where you work.
