WHAT IS THE BRAND?

Mashburn is an Atlanta-based apparel and lifestyle brand launched in 2007 with a single passion: taking care of people. The company designs, manufactures, and markets a nationally recognized assortment of menswear (Sid Mashburn) and womenswear (Ann Mashburn) alongside other high-quality, iconic brands. We want to be the world's go-to omnichannel lifestyle shop – a place that embodies service and style, accessibility and luxury, and, for us, the very best of everything. Most excitingly, our story is still unfolding, and incredible growth opportunities lie ahead...

WHAT IS THE JOB?

The Senior Associate – Sourcing & Production works with Director of Sourcing & Production to deliver maximum productivity, flexibility, and responsiveness to business needs while staying true to our product core values: Quality, Service, Integrity, and Value. This position is ideal for a highly multi-functional, "roll up your sleeves," entrepreneurial professional who has demonstrated excellent thought, people, and process leadership. This is a full-time non-exempt position.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?

  • Partner with the Director of Sourcing & Production to ensure successful outcomes on every order placed - quality, timely delivery, and end cost to the company
  • Own vendor communication end-to-end: daily WIP monitoring, seasonal calendar/cost/quality discussions, and negotiating solutions that work for both parties
  • Own all aspects of costing from proto to final product
  • Create and maintain purchase orders in Counterpoint (ERP)
  • Create and drive WIP reports and the Time & Action Calendar to ensure on-time delivery
  • Create, maintain, and monitor a vendor matrix to guarantee product quality, efficiency, and profitability, and to leverage Mashburn's growth
  • Partner with vendors to create and monitor action plans that proactively improve service, quality, and cost - not just monitor WIP after the fact
  • Consistently review vendor performance using the Vendor Scorecard
  • Footwear specific: work with tanneries on bi-annual material projections
  • Partner with Design counterparts to proactively drive product development and production calendar deliverables, ensuring on-time delivery of samples and product
  • Attend bi-weekly TOP (Top of Production) fittings as needed; communicate issues to vendors in a timely manner
  • Review and approve vendor invoices

WHAT ARE THE ESSENTIAL SKILLS?

  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and functions in an entrepreneurial organization
  • Ability to analyze and present data
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to quickly build cross-functional relationships, collaborate, and influence others
  • Motivated, resourceful problem solver with a "no task is too small" attitude
  • Flexible, positive, creative mindset; able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Well versed in Excel
  • Working knowledge of BeProduct (PLM) and Counterpoint (ERP), or comparable systems
  • Reflect our core value of Hopeful, Helpful, Humble, Hardworking, Honest, Hospitable, and Nimble.
