Job Summary

Ā 

The Senior Financial Analyst, Commercial Finance will enable Newell Brands growth by providing sales forecast and customer trade support to US Sales, Finance, and internal business partners. These duties include collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading the Commercial Finance efforts across multiple business segments within Newell. This role reports to the Manager, Commercial Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to Newell account teams including development of forecasts for sales volume and promotional plans.
  • Actively monitor performance against key metrics (i.e. Customer P&L, Trade Checkbook, etc.) helping to drive efficiency and ROI of investments while staying within allocated trade spend.
  • Act as project ā€˜change champion’ for new trade spend management system implementation.
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews with account teams to drive visibility to business performance and trade spend.
  • Collaborate with the local sales leader to support preparation for Newell executive business reviews.
  • Assist account teams in preparation for both internal segment and external customer business reviews through financial analysis and modeling.
  • Drive financial process efficiency including the development and refinement of reporting and analytical tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a finance or RGM role
  • Ability to work independently and proven success in a fast paced, matrixed organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to translate complex financial data into clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and using financial systems and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders and leaders
  • Consumer good experience preferred
