What We’re Looking For:

A Sushi Chef capable of preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires precision, creativity, and a deep understanding of traditional and modern sushi techniques.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare sushi and sashimi dishes according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Ensure proper storage, rotation, and labeling of all sushi ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi station and equipment
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering and receiving supplies
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques
  • Collaborate with culinary leadership on menu development and seasonal offerings
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Provide personable service to guests when applicable
  • Report equipment maintenance needs and ensure proper functioning of tools
  • Participate in kitchen opening and closing procedures
  • Support cost control measures and minimize waste
  • Attend required hotel meetings and training sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Your Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sushi preparation, preferably in an upscale hotel or restaurant
  • Strong knowledge of sushi techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and push carts up to 200 pounds
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
  • High school diploma required; culinary certification preferred
