The Restoration Technician assists with on‑site disaster response activities, including water mitigation, fire and smoke cleaning, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup. You will work under the direction of a Lead Technician or Project Manager to complete tasks safely, efficiently, and according to industry standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Operations & Technical Work- Respond to emergency service calls throughout the Atlanta area.
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke cleaning, mold remediation, and general cleanup tasks.
- Set up, operate, and monitor drying and air filtration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, HEPA air scrubbers).
- Assist with demolition, debris removal, content manipulation, and pack‑outs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites, vehicles, and equipment.
- Follow direction from Lead Technicians and Project Managers to ensure efficient workflow.
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
- Document work performed, moisture readings, and equipment usage using mobile apps or paper forms.
- Represent the company with professionalism, courtesy, and a customer‑first mindset.
- Follow all OSHA safety procedures and company policies.
- Wear required PPE and participate in jobsite safety briefings.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents immediately.
- Handle chemicals, equipment, and contaminated materials safely and responsibly.
- Prior experience in restoration, construction, general labor, or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to learn restoration techniques and industry standards.
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT).
- Additional IICRC certifications (ASD, FSRT, AMRT) are a plus.
- Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
- Comfort using mobile apps for documentation and timekeeping.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs. regularly; up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and ladder use.
- Work in confined spaces, attics, crawlspaces, and environments with mold, dust, and debris.
- Must pass a medical evaluation and fit test for respirator use.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and participation in a 24/7 on‑call rotation.
