General Description
ThisĀ positionĀ hasĀ theĀ responsibilityĀ ofĀ conductingĀ on-siteĀ inspectionsĀ allĀ overĀ theĀ CityĀ forĀ complianceĀ toĀ the Atlanta Zoning Ordinance and other related codes.Ā Staff employed in this position must also conductĀ joint inspections with other City of Atlanta agencies for quality-of-life issues.Ā This position also has the responsibility of reviewing and conducting complex research for the documentation of legal non-conformingĀ usesĀ asĀ wellĀ asĀ forĀ theĀ approvalĀ ofĀ CityĀ ofĀ AtlantaĀ OccupationalĀ TaxĀ Certificates.Ā ThisĀ position mustĀ representĀ theĀ CityĀ atĀ publicĀ meetingsĀ andĀ functionsĀ asĀ requiredĀ andĀ mustĀ issueĀ correctionĀ noticesĀ for violations of the Atlanta Zoning Ordinance and issue court citations for violators for Municipal Court proceedings.Ā The incumbent must ensure that best in classĀ customerĀ service is provided to both internal and external customers, and embrace, support, and promote the Cityās core values, beliefs, and culture.

Issue violation citations and enforce adherence to zoning ordinances and building related codes. Verifies correction of violation.

Prepares reports of investigations to include processing of violation letters. MaintainsĀ andĀ submitsĀ accurateĀ andĀ up-to-dateĀ recordsĀ ofĀ inspectionĀ activities.
