Configuration Management Specialist

Mindbank Consulting Group is seeking Configuration Management Specialists for two fully remote, direct hire positions . This is an immediate need; our client is interviewing and making offers in January. Salary is commensurate with experience. NO C2C!

Candidates must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents in order to be considered, and will undergo a government background investigation (credit, criminal, school loan) to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

In this position, you will support multiple tasks leading a team and activities relating to change and configuration management processes, including processing and tracking customer change requests, status accounting and metrics reporting, and developing material to support implementation and execution of processes. You will use Atlassian tools (Jira, BitBucket, Confluence) to complete tasks and execute against established processes.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Change Control Board (CCB) secretary; execute processes, maintain CCB minutes, track post-meeting action items, document final disposition and implementation actions, and track related actions.
• Facilitate the configuration management process, process customer, SME, and systems engineers change requests
• Support tracking of relevant metrics by maintaining and ensuring data integrity and fidelity
• Prepare for, support process assessments, and change control audits
• Recommend and implement new technology/enhancements to configuration management processes and/or configuration management tools
• Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedures for the configuration management process
• Develop training material and conduct training sessions for configuration management process

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have the following recent, paid, and professional experience:

• 10+ years of experience in IT Operations processes
• 7+ years of experience with configuration management processes, including change control board management, change request management, and status accounting and reporting
• 3+ years as a leader and mentor in the area of Change/Configuration management
• Automation deployment of software pipelines for development, test, and production in cloud environments including AWS and Azure
• Utilizing DevOps tools (such as Jenkins, SonarQube, Consul) and Container Technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes)
• Managing and prioritizing daily tasks using independent judgement based on organizational goals and established processes
• Working in a collaborative, detail-oriented, team environment
• Meeting customer requests and organizational goals in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience and proficiency in the following is a MUST:

• Translating technical terminology into terms understood by stakeholders at various level
• Administration of Atlassian tools , including management of project permissions, field configuration schemes, workflows, and screen schemes
• Agile and Continuous Integration/Continuous Development best practices

• Demonstrable skills in the following areas: leadership, effective communication, collaboration, and a highly engaging, team-oriented, customer-focused proactive work ethic
