Title: Epicor P21 Consultant (Remote) Duration: 4 Months with possibility of extension Location: Remote Description: The work will be mostly remote with may be a max of one trip to AZ Role and Responsibilities Our client is looking for an Epicor P21 ERP consultant. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert with a passion for customer success.Support the P21 ecosystem and P21 users.
Accurately scoping problems to understand business challenges and offering effective solutions that may include one or more of the following: user training, system changes, business process improvements, existing application functionality and technical SQL solutions.
Maintain and support changes to the P21 ecosystem including P21, SQL Database, screens and reports and integrations with other systems and solutions.
Work with business stakeholders to refine and instantiate within P21 best practices for the business.
Manage and administer the P21 and SQL server systems.
Support end user training and instruction.
Work within the IT team to effectively monitor the P21 environment.
Prepare and maintain appropriate system documentation.
Provide application support for Prophet 21 and troubleshoot ERP related issues
Manage security and user access
Copy and maintain DEV and TEST instances
Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis for production issues if application is not functioning as expected. This may include Epicor bugs and the resolution of Epicor bugs through Epicor's support process.
Adding users, adding buyers, adding sales reps, configurations, etc., to the Epicor application
Issue support and management related to all existing custom solutions, portals, Dynachange modifications, BAQs/business rules, and reports
Support and application of upgrade scripts and application of patches to P21 (Plan, test, and deploy upgrades and patches)
Proficient in change control and managing changes through the environments
Support both desktop and web UI versions of P21
SQL optimization and improving the performance and efficiency of SQL queries.
Analyzing and modifying the query structure, indexing strategies, and database schema to optimize query execution, minimize response times, and reduce resource consumption.
Fine tune SQL database delivering better performance and faster results, ensuring applications run smoothly for the users
Crystal report and SQL reporting skills : create, modify and maintain reports
Thoroughly understand business procedures to develop and maintain automated processes.
Identify Key Business Process Improvements.
Document P21 processes and promote standardization of those processes. Success in this role requires the following skillset:
Understanding of data management, data quality, and data governance principles and practices.
Epicor P21, including experience with the P21 API Server.
Strong SQL Server skills, including writing queries and p21 schema knowledge.
Knowledge of Change Management, Instance Management, and Agile Development principles.
Knowledge of information security concepts, principles, and methodology.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations.
Strong Communication skills - will be talking to non-technical end users
Any Microsoft windows or azure certifications Experience:
At least 5 years of experience with Epicor P21
