General Description and Classification Standards:
Responsible for the administration and management of the Cityworks program for the City of Atlanta, Department of Watershed Management. This position is responsible for maintaining various workflows, audits, and Cityworks programs. Advises and guides internal and external users of Cityworks and serves on the Cityworks committee. Additionally, this position participates in projects and provides end-user support for applications, connectivity, and server-related issues.
Supervision Received:
Under the guidance of the director and/or senior system administrator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Coordinates with management to determine Cityworks functional needs and goals and conducts periodic reassessments as needed or requested.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Assist in overseeing the ticketing system to support users with modifications to Cityworks and the resolution of associated issues.Ā
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Manage and develop new reports and queries within Cityworks as needed.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Manage other programs and tools that interface with Cityworks software.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Maintain and evaluate the functionality of Cityworks to ensure optimal system performance.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Provide user support for both Cityworks desktop and Mobile version.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Keeps abreast of changes in the asset management and GIS industry in terms of equipment, software, communications, standards, procedures, and techniques.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify end-user requirements and specifications, delivering training as neededĀ
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Work with the security team to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Test applications for quality and functionality prior to deployment.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Ensure continuous 24/7 uptime and smooth operation of departmental applications.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Periodically update license files and applications.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Develop installation guides, troubleshooting documents, and manualsĀ
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Conduct quarterly audits of applications, manage user access, and recommend the decommissioning of underutilized softwareĀ
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Provide solutions for technical issues, ensuring timely resolution.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Participate in daily team meetings, project meetings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges.

Systems Administrator I
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Knowledge of and ability to configure asset management software (specifically Cityworks)
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Highly proficient in the use of computerized office equipment and programs.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Problem-solving skills for addressing complex technical and strategic problems using asset management technologies.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Ā
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Collaborate effectively and efficiently with the general public, executive leadership, employees, and vendors.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:Ā
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and have five to seven years of experience in system administration, specifically with the Cityworks software or comparable asset management solutions.
Licensures and Certifications:Ā
ITIL 4 Ā
Preferred Requirements:
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Experience as a Cityworks administrator.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Experience in asset management systems.
ā¢Ā Ā Ā Ā Experience in municipal government operations, particularly in water management.
Work Environment:Ā
The work environment is primarily an office setting. It may be necessary to fulfill obligations during evenings, nights, or weekends to ensure the proper maintenance of systems.
Lifting Requirements:
Light work:Ā
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects.
