Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities

  • Live and uphold Electric Hospitality values and culture.
  • Prepare guests' drinks as ordered. 
  • Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
  • Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items. 
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Take drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar or from servers. 
  • Input orders into the POS system. 
  • Slice fruit or other garnishes for drinks. 
  • Clean bar and arrange glasses for an attractive bar display. 
  • Prepare bill and accept payment from guests. 
  • Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future drinking/dining experience.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with guests and co-workers.
  • Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
  • Assist the team as needed to optimize the guest’s dining experience.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • Valid certification for serving alcohol.  
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
  • Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings 
  • Proper communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers and guests.
  • Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize.


Essential Physical Functions:

  • Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
  • Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
  • Report to work in a complete required uniform.
  • Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the image of the restaurant.
  • Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
  • Be courteous, friendly, and pleasant.
