Position Summary:
Key Responsibilities
- Live and uphold Electric Hospitality values and culture.
- Prepare guests' drinks as ordered.Â
- Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items.Â
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Take drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar or from servers.Â
- Input orders into the POS system.Â
- Slice fruit or other garnishes for drinks.Â
- Clean bar and arrange glasses for an attractive bar display.Â
- Prepare bill and accept payment from guests.Â
- Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future drinking/dining experience.
- Communicate effectively and courteously with guests and co-workers.
- Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
- Assist the team as needed to optimize the guest’s dining experience.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Valid certification for serving alcohol. Â
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
- Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairingsÂ
- Proper communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers and guests.
- Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize.
Essential Physical Functions:
- Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy.
- Report to work in a complete required uniform.
- Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the image of the restaurant.
- Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
- Be courteous, friendly, and pleasant.
