Are you ready to make a real impact while gaining hands-on experience with a world-renowned company? UPS is looking for a passionate and driven intern pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA in Occupational Health & Safety or Safety Management to join our Global Health & Safety Department.Ā 

Ā Ā 

This Internship Program prepares the next generation of H&S professionals for success through skill development, networking opportunities, mentorship, and exposure to various H&S business segments. Interns will take ownership over meaningful, high-impact assignments and present these capstone projects to the Health & Safety Leadership Team at the end of the internship. Additionally, leadership willĀ identifyĀ top talent with the potential for future opportunities like a full-time role. This program aims to further develop H&S leaders through training, mentorship, and working in various H&S roles.Ā

We seek candidates who are complex problem solvers with the ability to align ideas to long-term business goals andĀ exhibitĀ great communication, time-management, and leadership skills. Responsibilities and DutiesĀ 

  • Creates a solution and path forward forĀ a real businessĀ needĀ 

  • Conducts meaningful research using data to support the capstone project and produces deliverablesĀ 

  • AssistsĀ in the development and improvement of company H&S practicesĀ 

  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders, as they relate to capstone project responsibilitiesĀ 

  • Ensures alignment to company, business-unit, and stakeholder long-term strategies and goalsĀ 

  • Engages in training and development opportunitiesĀ 

  • Participates in intern events to expand knowledge of UPS and engage with senior leadersĀ 

  • Meets with mentors forĀ assistanceĀ navigating UPS andĀ identifyingĀ career development opportunitiesĀ 

  • Encourages diversity of thought, experience, and ideasĀ 

  • Presents final capstone project to UPS leadership at the end of the internship programĀ

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Ā 

  • CurrentlyĀ enrolled in aĀ bachelor’sĀ or master’s program with a preferred course of study in Occupational Health and Safety or Safety Management withĀ an anticipatedĀ graduation date of December 2026.Ā 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.Ā 

  • Ability to be in the same geographic location as the job or willing toĀ relocate.Ā 

  • Ability to adapt to both office and operations settings.Ā 

  • Preferred certifications: NEBOSH, CSP, or ASP.Ā
