It plays a pivotal role in addressing systemic barriers in affordable housing, the arts, equity, and economic opportunity while connecting generosity to impact across the community.   Position Summary:The Program Associate, Generalist, is an associate level role designed to support Community Impact programs through high quality execution, coordination, and learning. This role is ideal for someone who is early in their career in philanthropy or community based work and is eager to build experience across grantmaking, nonprofit partnerships, and community centered initiatives. Reporting to a Senior Program Officer, the Program Associate supports the delivery and administration of grant programs aligned with the Foundation’s TogetherATL priorities and donor interests, while developing readiness for future advancement through increasing exposure to program strategy, evaluation, and cross functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Program & Grant Execution Support the administration of grant programs, including applicant and grantee communication, intake and acknowledgment of applications, and management of required documentation through online systems Coordinate program logistics such as meetings, convenings, site visits, and partner communications Track grant requirements and support mid  and end of grant reporting to ensure compliance with Foundation standards Maintain accurate grant and program records, including data entry and file management in grantmaking systems Serve as a reliable point of contact for applicants and grantees, providing timely, professional customer service Program Support & Learning  Support program planning activities, including researching community needs and nonprofit sector context, in partnership with and under the guidance of a Senior Program Officer Assist with the intake, design, and launch of new grant programs as part of a staff team Support proposal review processes, site visits, and preparation of funding recommendations Track basic program and initiative metrics and support learning and reporting processes led by senior staff Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency in application and grant administration Collaboration & Development Collaborate with Community Impact colleagues and cross functional partners (Philanthropy, Finance, Marketing & Communications) to support coordinated work and effective use of resources Support Foundation representation at external meetings and events, and represent the Foundation when delegated Maintain organized program knowledge and documentation for internal use and learning Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience 2+ years of relevant professional experience in philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, community development, public policy, or related work Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated attention to detail and comfort working with systems and data An understanding of and interest in the nonprofit and philanthropic ecosystem in metro Atlanta Commitment to racial equity and community centered approaches to philanthropy Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with grantmaking or CRM systems preferred   Other: The Community Foundation operates in a hybrid working environment with staff working in-office three days per week (Tuesday – Thursday) and the opportunity to work two days remote per week if in good standing.    Compensation:  To be determined based upon experience and qualifications within the anticipated salary range of  $60,000-$65,000. This position is exempt, and employee is eligible for the Foundation’s competitive health and benefits plan that includes:  Paid time off:  Two weeks accrued paid vacation  Two weeks accrued paid sick leave  Four mental health days  Two personal days  Two floating holidays  Ten holidays  Benefits:  All benefits effective on date of hire – no waiting period  100% employer-paid benefits (medical, dental, vision) for employee-only insurance plans  100% employer-paid life insurance and AD&D  100% employer-paid short-term disability and long-term disability  100% employer-paid parking downtown Atlanta or monthly MARTA card  Affordable plans for legal insurance, critical illness, supplemental life, and more  Employee Assistance Program  Retirement:  Immediate eligibility to contribute to a 403(b) plan, plus a 6% employer-paid contribution after one year of employment—regardless of employee contributions.  Culture and Development:  Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each team member including trainings, resources, development opportunities, etc.  Two Wellness Rooms for mental health with self-care items  Fun monthly employee engagement activities  To Apply: Please apply directly through the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta’s Careers Page by submitting your resume and application to the "Program Associate, Generalist” job posting.    The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
