Job Description

Responsible for the planning, scheduling, and delivery of successful IT system implementations that support strategic goals and objectives executed with consistently superior service.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience with at least 4 years of direct people management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare Experience
  • Certifications may include Lean/Six Sigma, Scrum/Agile, CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), ITIL, CVS (Certified Value Specialist), AStd or CStd (Associate/Career Standards Certification)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

Certification Summary

  • PMP certification required or must obtain within one year of employment

  • Knowledge and skill in portfolio and project management, including the ability to communicate and lead effectively with regard to assessing project and portfolio scope, complexity, requirements, timelines, costs, and budget management

  • Polished communication and presentation skills

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversight of and responsibility for the full IT portfolio of projects across all programs, from receipt, assessment, approval, and scheduling of requests through execution and assessment of outcomes, with the expectation of delivering maximum value and quality to meet organizational strategies, goals, and objectives.
  • Responsibility for the establishment of sound, value-added processes, and methodologies for delivery of projects to ensure best quality and outcomes according to needed scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Management and development of Portfolio Planning, Process Improvement, Requirements, and Knowledge Management staff to enhance operational excellence as demonstrated via development of objectives, metrics, and measures.
  • Provide insight and reporting for IT staff work planning, scheduling, and assessment of how time has been spent in alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Provide staff guidance, development, education, engagement, and growth opportunities to promote their ability to support their roles and encourage professional and personal growth.
  • Responsibility and oversight of IT capital planning process and approval of budgets.
  • Lead annual technology planning to ensure the organization is gaining maximum value from its technology investments.
  • Participate in IT strategy planning, development, and delivery, leading the long-term strategy planning activities for IS&T.
  • Oversight, development, and facilitation of Guiding Teams for the purpose of IT work approval, prioritization, quality assurance, and operational engagement, and to ensure that IT staff are working on what is most needed/desired by the organization.
  • Oversee and support IS&T departmental communication, staff training, knowledge base management, and staff engagement.
  • Oversee office Admin staff processes and performance.
  • Support the Office of the CIO as directed.
