SUMMER PROGRAMS LIFEGUARD

We’re on the lookout for responsible, alert, and high-energy Lifeguards to join our awesome summer programs team! In this role, you’ll be the go-to hero of the pool; keeping campers and staff safe while making sure everyone is having a fun and memorable time during indoor swim activities.
This is a seasonal position working during six weeks of Summer Programs starting  June 1, 2026 and working from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday- Friday.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Aquatics Director with supervising swimming activities for elementary-aged students at the indoor pool facility and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
Scans the pool and deck with undivided attention on swimmers to detect hazards or distress
Assist with swim tests and supervise structured swim activities
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
Collaborate with camp staff to support a fun and safe camp experience
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum age of 15.
Certified Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate, or equivalent. If you are not certified you must be able to complete the certification program with the Aquatics Director.
American Red Cross Standard First Aid, or equivalent. If you are not certified you must be able to complete the certification program with the Athletic Trainer.
Swimming proficiency and comfort in all types of water conditions.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work in warm, humid environments for extended periods of time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to pull, push, stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop and kneelÂ
Must possess auditory, verbal, and visual capabilities to adequately identify and communicate with distressed swimmers
Light to moderate lifting up to 30 pounds may be required
