Responsibilities

Performs designated duties as a part of the Respiratory Care Department to include: inventory, stocking of respiratory supplies, and cleaning of equipment as needed.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Performs low-level disinfection on equipment.
  • Assists in inventory of disposable supplies.
  • Transports equipment, specimens, blood, etc., throughout the hospital.
  • Maintains technical training in use of equipment pertinent to specific area.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.  Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury‑accident to Supervisor.
  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED

  • High school diploma, equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education  
  • Six (6) months of healthcare experience or student currently enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program
  •  

    PREFERRED

     

  • Preferred Respiratory Therapy student.
  • Work Hours:

    7AM-330PM

    Weekend Requirements:

    Yes- Rotating Basis
