Job Summary:
Responsible for managing physical and electronic security for all facilities, security operations staff and electronic security systems. Leads and plans security functions and all team memberd components. Instructs the team in applicable security policies and procedures, protocols and operations. Budgets and plans for security issues. Maintains all required documentation.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plans and manages security of the physical environment against theft, vandalism, terrorism, illegal and unauthorized activity. Ensures compliance with all applicable security policies and procedures. Performs risk assessments, inspections, and identifies vulnerabilities in security coverage. Monitors current threat environment and implements corrective actions, control procedures and necessary countermeasures.
  • Manages electronic security systems including implementation of security projects. Recommends, coordinates acquisition, and manages the installation and replacement of security devices and equipment. Provides updates on industry best standards involving security equipment advancements. Attends and represents corporate security in organizational meetings. Oversee the development of electronic security systems programming, testing, administration, code changes and system updates.
  • Serves as the public safety liaison. Develops relationships with public safety agencies at the local, state and federal level to enhance protection and increase efficiency and effectiveness of the security organization.
  • Participates with the security management team and makes recommendations for enhancing the delivery of all applicable security training. Recommends changes to departmental policies and procedures that enhances safety and security. Prepares reports for security leadership on risks, recommendations and performance of the team.
  • Provides leadership, direction and growth opportunities to members of the department, performing those responsibilities in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning or directing work, appraising performance, disciplining team members and resolving problems. Works with the Human Resources Department to resolve more complex team member-related issues.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Firm authority in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in related discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Experience: Ten years of experience in a security environment that operates multiple critical life safety systems including experience in a management role.Possession of applicable low voltage license. Possession of a state issued firearms permit that allows for open or concealed carry of a firearm.
