We are seeking a Facilities Technician to perform a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the functionality, safety, and appearance of the facility. This role is responsible for minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and mechanical maintenance, as well as general facility upkeep and housekeeping duties. The Facilities Technician will also respond to emergency situations, support special events by setting up and moving equipment, and monitor and report safety hazards and inventory needs.

\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities
路 Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on life safety devices, including fire pumps, smoke detectors, and sprinkler systems.
路 Conduct maintenance and minor repairs on HVAC systems, including compressors, condensers, air distribution, and monitoring controls.
路 Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including restroom fixtures, sump pumps, sewer systems, and water filtration units.
路 Perform minor electrical repairs, including replacing lighting fixtures, lamps, and ballasts.
路 Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including boilers, pumps, valves, compressors, and related components.
路 Handle general handyman tasks, such as furniture repairs, door hardware replacements, and touch-up painting.
路 Perform general cleaning and maintenance of mechanical spaces and exterior areas, including roof drains, air vents, and workspaces.
路 Replace air filters and clean light fixtures to maintain efficient building operations.
路 Assist with debris removal, material organization, and general site cleanup as needed.
路 Support event setup and equipment moving as required.
路 Follow safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, while performing maintenance tasks.
路 Monitor and report on safety hazards, major maintenance concerns, and supply inventory.
路 Perform additional maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
路 Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related technical role.
路 Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including building automation.
路 Skilled in using hand tools, specialized tools, and test equipment for repairs and maintenance.
路 Proficiency in computer-based systems, including email and productivity software.
路 Strong verbal and written communication skills.
路 Ability to work independently, take initiative, and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
路 Willingness to perform general labor and cleaning tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
路 Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing are a plus.
路 Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
路 Familiarity with work order and inventory management systems.
路 Prior experience working in commercial, industrial, or institutional facilities.
