Technician II 
Transdev in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking both an Automotive and Diesel Technician to bolster our team.  As a Technician, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday, full time 40 hours a week. 
 
CBA Position:
Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:
  • $28.00 - $42.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
Benefits include:
  • Vacation: up to 14 days after one (1) year of employment. 
  • Holiday: 14 days
  • Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full-time employees/ 5 hrs monthly part- time employees; medical, dental & vision after 30 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.
  • Company paid ASE testing, training materials.
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Perform repairs and replacements on automotive engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
  • Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
  • Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
  • Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
 
  • Dodge, Chevy, Ford experience preferred. 
  • ASE certifications preferred. 
  • Mechanic’s Tool Set. 
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
 
Physical Requirements:
 
  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
