About the Role
The Payroll Representative is responsible for establishing and maintaining employee payroll records and processing the bi-weekly payroll cycle as well as on demand payroll checks.
Position Responsibilities
聽
- Auditing timekeeping records for accuracy and conformance with established standards, posting changes in pay and tax status, processing all aspects of the payroll cycle, balancing taxable wage bases to tax deductions.
- Auditing time that comes into the payroll from the time and attendance system.
- Monitoring updates to employee records as they affect the payroll.
- 聽Ensuring compliance with labor laws, collective bargaining unit agreements, federal and state tax requirements, internal payroll policies and procedures, and company policies.
- Cross training on other payroll functions.

Essential Functions
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of multi-state payroll functions, preferably in a hotel/casino operation
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated knowledge of payroll systems
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of federal and state multi-state regulatory requirements.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Effective communication with property payroll staff, as well as other company personnel.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Basic understanding of payroll taxes, wage assignment, and other payroll deductions.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Previous experience in gaming/hospitality payroll processing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of applicable Federal, State and County laws and regulations as they relate to the payroll functions and the preparation of reports.
- Must possess a Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 3+ years of Payroll experience.
- The ability to speak, read and write in English
