High Voltage Helper/Trainee

• Assist the Lead Lineman Electrician and qualified Lineman Electricians with daily tasks involving high-voltage electrical systems.
• Support the maintenance, repair, and installation of overhead and underground electrical distribution lines, utility poles, and substations.
• Participate in switching operations and high-voltage system work under direct supervision.
• Help prepare work sites, stage materials, and maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Learn and follow strict high-voltage safety protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform basic electrical and mechanical tasks as directed by senior personnel.
• Participate in training programs and on-the-job instruction to develop technical skills.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Document work activities and assist with record-keeping as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Lead Lineman Electrician.

• Prior experience in electrical construction, maintenance, or a related trade is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and under varying weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to learn high-voltage electrical systems and progress toward full Lineman Electrician qualifications.
• Must be able to obtain necessary certifications and training as required for advancement.
• Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and following instructions from the Lead Lineman Electrician.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license or the ability to obtain one may be required.
