Job Summary: The Pest Control Technician implements integrated pest management practices to prevent and control pests in and around Technical Center facilities.

The William J. Hughes Technical Center for Advanced Aerospace's normal hours of operation (NHO) are 6:00 A.M. through 6:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspect facilities for pest activity and identify infestations.
Apply pesticides, baits, and control measures in accordance with regulations.
Perform preventive treatments.
Maintain accurate treatment records and regulatory documentation.
Recommend and implement pest-prevention strategies.
Respond promptly to pest-related service requests.
Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of pesticides.

Qualifications and Special Requirements:

Must be licensed as a Commercial Certified Pesticide Applicator.
Must possess, at a minimum, certification in NJDEP Category 6B Right of Way, 7A General and household pest control, 7B Termites and other wood destroying insects, 8D Cooling tower water pest control.

Conditions of Employment

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.

Candidates must pass a background check prior to hire.
