Maintenance Technician – Affordable Housing | Atlantic City, NJ

Salary: $18.00 – $20.00/hour | Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM | On-Call Rotation

What You’ll Bring as a Maintenance Technician

You’re skilled, dependable, and care about doing the job right. You bring:

· 2+ years of apartment, residential, or facilities maintenance experience (painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring; HVAC experience a plus).

· A high school diploma or GED.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

· Reliable transportation and flexibility to cover overtime or nearby communities when needed.

· Basic computer or mobile-app skills for work orders, timekeeping, and training (we’ll train you!).

· Strong communication and customer-service skills

· Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills, a plus that helps connect with our residents!

How You’ll Make an Impact

Every day, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our community comfortable, safe, and well cared for:

· Bring spaces to life – perform routine and preventative maintenance, including painting, drywall, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and cleaning.

· Care for the grounds – maintain curb appeal through landscaping, snow/ice removal, and seasonal upkeep.

· Respond with urgency – complete work orders promptly and rotate for emergency on-call coverage (respond within 30 minutes).

· Prioritize quality & compliance – follow all safety, property, and inspection standards with precision.

· Be part of a team that cares – work closely with peers and residents, showing empathy and pride in every repair.

The salary range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
