ENDOSCOPY TECHNICIAN-1

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assist with providing care to patients undergoing and endoscopic procedures
• Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrates knowledge and competence of laser operation and safety
• Current cleaning, disinfection, sterilization and troubleshooting for all endoscopy related equipment and devices
• Is able to work well with others and with minimal supervision; previous endoscopy experience essential.
• Successful completion of hospital orientation.

• Basic computer skills
• Previous medical/surgical experience necessary (one year minimum); endoscopy or O.R. technician; acute medical/surgical care nursing preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent

License/Certification:   N/A
